Some wonderful blogs been reading lately like weasle3 life as a nurse and mimiwi on the love of being a grandparent, flaminredhead on a celtic marriage ceremony and so on.
All gist to this writer who never wants to stop learning.
My grandson Patrick (aged 5) is really funny. After he came back after three weeks in Canada (his father is Canadian) he chatted nine to a dozen. I wrote some of what he said down.
“I went to see the beavers gnawing up wood and I told my Uncle Patrick, Mummy says I was named after him, that I had never seen a beaver before and he laughed and so I asked Nanny Wise why did he laugh and she told Uncle Patrick off, so I asked my friend Tom why did Uncle Patrick laugh and he told me a beaver is what a lady had instead of a willy, I was upset that I couldn’t tell anyone else I had seen a beaver without someone thinking I was being rude.”
Boy, and people want to know where writers get their inspiration from!

this is too funny….kids are our most precious life string…Yes?
You can see from that photo I’ve had a stroke. (ps any of you ladies want a stroke, and I don’t mean my kind!)
Thank you for sharing these blogs. I will certainly go have a look at them. They sound great!
You and your grandson Patrick look wonderful. He looks like a good boy.
Strokes are no fun!!! Both my mother and mother-in-law had them, along with my brother-in-law. All, except my mother were really incapacitated by them. Perhaps you are having problems with your body, but your amazing brain certainly hasn’t been affected! Some of your things are way beyond me, but still enjoy trying to figure them out!
Absolutely love the story about your grandson. It almost seems too hilarious to be true, but know that kids CAN say the darndest things. Know you just love him dearly! How many grandchildren do you have?
What an honor to be mentioned on your blog! I try to be kind—Ken says it doesn’t always work??!! But family is EVERYTHING to me–that and my faith in God. He has guided my life in too many ways to call things that happened “coincidence”!
It’s true, and if you knew my grandson you would know it was!
So funny this story is! Thanks for sharing it. Children are precious. I love the pic of you two as well. Peace.
Thanks for sharing this pic..you are darling…I love kids…and miss having someone small and fun around…my girl is 15 and not too much fun these days..lol…

Personally, I am pagan. Not worried about some big invisible guy in the sky striking me dead. But I do like to warn people. Just in case they think their invisible man will singe out their eyeballs for reading it.
Ha…Ha… your grandchild is so lovely. It seems that your grandson likes sharing with you. You must be an easy-going grandpa whom kids love a lot. ^-^
Yes, i agree that kids can give us inspiration and laughters. That’s why, I love chatting with kids. I love the way they see the world sometimes.

What did i do? Well, it’s embrassing to tell the world. But I think i need to confess. My good friends and I had an IT test on that day. One of my friends is expert in computers so it’s not difficult for him to finish the test. He was sitting next to me and he helped me from time to time during the test. Finally, I successfully finished all the questions because of him. Most likely, I don’t need to retake the test but I must re-learn the computer skills.
I really enjoy hearing about the real you. Not that I don’t enjoy your work but you as a person amaze me. I couldn’t tell a thing from the picture. You just look like you are bending to be closer to the boy. What a cutie pie btw.

There is nothing like a grandchild to brighten a day. Boys and girls, equal one to the other and both so special in their own ways. You are so very right when it comes to saying they provide you with inspiration and all of us who write do need that.
Although much different in ages, I think I see a bit of you in that young one. He is very lucky to have someone who can provide him with the glories of the written word. I know you are able to share all of what you have stored in your head as well as in your heart with him and know you do it at every opportunity. It’s a shame they grow up so fast. Enjoy all of his attentions you are able. I won’t see mine again for almost another 2 years.
Regards,
aww:) i love it!
YOu gave me the highest compliment possible. Thank you so much.
Your grandson is adorable. My children entertain me around the clock.

LOL – what a great story!!
Patrick is a darling little boy.
Ah, a look at the “real” Terry, the one I know and love. But I don’t like a world that is smooth sailing and not a cloud in sight every day…I would be bored outa my skull.
I think YOU know Patrick is going to be a lot like you later or maybe even now. He will carry the memory of you just as I have written in my blog today. You and he are truly blessed.
i’m a virgo too…and i’m turning fourteen in a few days. still thirteen.
your grandson sounds adorable
LOL. I know all about the crazy things kids say. I have 3 of them. I posted a conversation between my boys on my blog. I thought it was interesting.

Like neuroticfitchmom, I couldn’t tell that you’ve had a stroke from this picture. It’s endearing that a grown up bends down to be closer to a child who can’t stretch up. “Nine to a dozen”–something like talking a blue streak
I’ve never heard that phrase before.
